Principal, Management Consulting

Purpose

Accountable for the overall execution of the engagement of all work streams. Leads on all client-specific engagements aligned to the business strategy and owns the executive client relationship. In addition, this role is responsible for supporting Directors with the identification of new business opportunities and clients as well as proactively managing Trillian Management Consulting’s operational and strategic portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns Trillian’s strategy with that of the client and acts as the primary relationship broker with the client
  • Leads and manages the commercial portfolio of work pertaining to margins, efficiency, billability, and risk mitigation
  • Provides strategic direction to the Engagement Managers on all client work
  • Accountable for managing the entire talent pipeline through matching up talent, assessing skills gaps, managing performance, building competence and advising on career and succession plans
  • Provides thought leadership and drives innovative thinking and action
  • Provides sound mentoring to the team and manages overall team health
  • Spends significant time identifying new clients and fostering roll-over opportunities through networking, broad scanning and value creation assessments

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience and track record at a senior management level in a client- facing and fast paced environment
  • Eminence as a thought leader with a good understanding of different cultures
  • Bachelor’s degree

Engagement Manager, Management Consulting

Purpose

Leads and take ultimate responsibility for the project management of the engagement process and the coordination of the team members. The role acts as a key integrator role ensure value is added to the Client and the project is delivered successfully. The Engagement Manager is also responsible for the development of the team and their career growth

Responsibilities

  • Leads the project management process and activities including budget, work plans, quality assurance, opportunity analysis and risk mitigation
  • Manages the overall resourcing for the project
  • Coordinates team members and their outputs
  • Owns the problem solving process and ensures quality outputs from the engagement team
  • Ensures execution on the engagement runs smoothly and is responsible for all feedback loops
  • Builds trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Supports the Principal throughout the entire engagement process including new opportunity identification and evaluation as well as ongoing client relationship management
  • Responsible for the commercial and client success of the engagement
  • Leads on providing training opportunities for the team and assesses skills gaps
  • Provides sound mentoring to the team and is responsible for overall team health
  • Takes a lead in the pursuit of continuous improvement and innovative thinking for the company and contributes to office practices

Experience and Qualifications

Proven experience and track record at a management level, in a consulting or similar fast paced environment.

Associate, Management Consulting

Purpose

Delivers value adding solutions to the client through a structured engagement process. The associate owns their respective work stream and helps to drive the consulting engagement process. The delivery of work outputs is typically driven independently by the Associate with the contribution of fellow consultants. The role responsibilities are the same as that of an analyst but at a more complex level

Responsibilities

  • Structure problem solving approach effectively
  • Develop a realistic prioritised work plan for completing the required work
  • Analyse problems through the use of data gathering and modelling
  • Synthesis of analysis outputs
  • Build relationships with more senior client stakeholders
  • Support Engagement manager throughout the engagement process
  • Compile clear and actionable recommendations to the client
  • Lead and contribute to idea generation in team meetings and discussions
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to analysts

Experience and Qualifications

A few years’ prior work experience required preferably in a management consulting or similar fast paced client- centred environment.

Tertiary Bachelor’s Degree
